I’m an asset protection attorney and the managing partner of Alper Law. Over my career, thousands of clients and small businesses have come to me to protect what they’ve built. Most of my work today is offshore planning: Cook Islands trusts, offshore LLCs and the IRS filings those structures require. I’m based in central Florida and work with people across the country.

How I Got Here
I studied economics at the University of California, Irvine. I went to law school at Emory University in Atlanta. There I was on the law review, won the best brief award, and graduated with honors.
My legal career started at the IRS, where I was an attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel’s Large Business and International Division. Since then my practice has been asset protection law.
Besides my own practice, I help other attorneys build asset protection practices of their own, and I teach continuing education courses. Over the years I’ve written hundreds of articles on asset protection planning. My complete biography is on the Alper Law site.

Outside the Office
I’m a tabletop gamer. My favorites are 18xx-style games, which are train company simulations where players build railroads and trade their shares. They’re incredibly niche. I also have a soft spot for old-school PC games.
